Lifetime Exteriors was founded in 1987. We focus on supplying and installing awnings, sunscreens and patio covers. Mark Tizya, the owner of Lifetime Exterior Shades, has over 30 years of industry experience.

We manufacture most of our awnings locally using the highest quality parts and materials. Because we have such control over the manufacturing process, we can give you the very best products and service with shorter lead times.
Our Suppliers and Partners
We carefully choose the best suppliers for our products, and we do our best to employ local companies like ABC Supply Co, Forbidden Alloys and Kinetic Powder Coating for custom-made systems when required.
Mark Tizya, Owner
Mark began his construction career in the glass trade right after high school in 1986. After six years as general manager of a European rollshutter company in Vancouver he started Heritage Shade & Shutter in Vancouver in 2003. After 15 years running that business, Mark settled in the Comox Valley and acquired Lifetime Exterior Shades in 2020
Rob Bowker, Technician
Originally from Yorkshire in England, Rob spent many years as a professional musician before moving to Canada and working in real estate, construction and development. In 2014, Rob and his family moved to Vancouver Island where he continues to offer his passion for design and building through his work with Lifetime Exteriors.
